Cabbage

Cabbage is the 'winter crop' at Long & Scott as it is a hardy vegetable that can withstand low temperatures.  Regarded as a good source of vitamins and containing disease-preventing properties, our round green cabbage, along with a red variety we grow, finds its way to fresh markets and processors throughout the country.  Cabbage is considered the king of the cruciferous vegetable family that is made up of broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, kale, and bok choy that are rich in phytochemicals that contain antioxidants.
